Unlike most instant dashi, often loaded with MSG, their product offers a pure and refreshing alternative, crafted with care and integrity.


When it comes to their konbu, the Unenos source both wild and farmed varieties, all harvested from the pristine waters around Rishiri Island, located off the northernmost tip of Hokkaido. Uneno-san considers this type of konbu to be among the finest in the world for its unparalleled flavor.


For farmed konbu, they hold the belief that the skill and dedication of the farmer are just as important as the growing region in determining its quality. Their trusted konbu farmer, Mr. Minami, has been cultivating konbu exclusively for the Unenos for over 30 years, ensuring a product of exceptional taste and consistency.
